The Brief

One of Ireland’s most prestigious heritage brands since 1934, Newbridge Silverware needed their digital presence to align with their contemporary design ethos, and Matrix delivered with a polished new website.

The challenge here was to enhance the functionality and User Experience (UX) of their eCommerce website, and highlight the visual allure of their product range and visitor experiences.

Newbridge’s new site reflects their historic position as a heritage brand in the Irish market, while building on their success in reaching new global markets. But more practically, we have boosted their sales through a mobile-responsive site that is a delight to browse, with a new custom checkout experience when customers are inspired to buy. And to entice tourists to the historic site, we showcase their famous Museum of Style Icons, Showroom and Visitors’ Centre.

The team at Newbridge asked to be closely involved with the project from the beginning, which added a personal touch that carries through to the finished result. With the new engraving preview function, customers can type the wording, choose a font and visualise how their finished gift will look.

Besides the bespoke browsing experience and optimised UX, we integrated in-house EPOS and warehouse management systems to monitor demand and supply for thousands of products. Through close collaboration with Newbridge, we have delivered a powerful online selling platform that will continue to increase their international customer base.
