The Brief

As Ireland’s biggest indoor entertainment venue outside Dublin, the INEC in Killarney needed a dynamic hub to showcase and promote its world-class events, and we delivered a website that was just the ticket. The INEC site is now an essential, enlightening window into events in Kerry, and it’s also a great information portal for tourists planning to visit the Kingdom.

The INEC is one of Ireland’s major venues as well as part of the respected Gleneagles hospitality group, and the marketing team had several objectives, including promoting its hotels as part of ticket offers. However, the primary goal was to craft a smooth user experience, making it simple to find events and book tickets quickly.

The INEC gave us an ambitious brief, and through close collaboration with their marketing team in discovery workshops, we formulated a strategy to transform the brand through a rewarding User Experience (UX) on the website. We developed detailed psychological personas for users at different points of the booking process — and this helped us to realign INEC’s own strengths with the needs of customers.

The mobile-first design is fine-tuned to drive ticket sales from the first second the site loads. The event search engine remains prominent and has user-friendly filters to guide customers of all abilities to their dream events. Three main booking engines/partners are integrated into the site, ensuring a seamless experience from search to a front-row seat.
