Digital Spark

The year 2020 has inspired much global discussion about a ‘new normal’, but there’s one constant in business that will never change — you need to be there for your customers, especially when their demands shift with the times.

Many eCommerce businesses will fail in the wake of COVID-19, but you can survive — and thrive — by reassuring customers with a dynamic, proactive approach. If they’re craving normality again, be ready with a future-proofed eCommerce strategy.

Digital Spark is Matrix Internet’s innovative eCommerce improvement programme, with benefits way beyond COVID-19 survival. More than a quick-fix emergency flare, Digital Spark will ignite your whole business model. In our 20 years in business we have rebooted the digital fortunes of hundreds of companies, and we can also transform your company through Digital Spark.

An eCommerce jump-start…

  • Are you facing in-store restrictions and reduced opening times? Matrix will develop a digital strategy that drives customers to your site, by boosting your existing eCommerce or creating a new standalone platform
  • Is your site losing traffic? We will conduct a digital health-check and develop a dynamic SEO strategy to raise your Google ranking
  • Strong on traffic but weak on sales? After an audit and optional workshops, we will maximise revenue by fixing urgent UX issues
  • Is your website no match for the retail experience? We’ll help you develop your story and reconnect with customers.
  • Could extra staff join your eCommerce mission? We’ll turn them into digital marketing experts with our online training and strategy workshops.
  • Do you have your eyes on international markets? We’ll open your export horizons with multi-language options, localised landing pages and targeted content, and we’ll train your staff in the art of omnichannel selling.

The Matrix method — fine-tuned to suit your business

We have a proven holistic and integrated digital marketing strategy that can be tailored to your needs, and each individual Digital Spark project is based on a robust five-point eCommerce foundation:

Five steps — one integrated solution.

  1. Stand out from competitors by building a strong online brand.
  2. Profile and attract the right customer types to drive sales growth.
  3. Generate high quality traffic through multichannel marketing.
  4. Convert more visitors into customers through a seamless UX and design.
  5. Create loyal customers through a personalised customer experience.

Through close collaboration, we’ll develop a bespoke project that incorporates our full range of services — from our popular Flexi Team Pack that gives you access to our whole team for a set number of hours, to audits, workshops, digital marketing support, or even a whole new fully responsive eCommerce platform.

State throws a lifeline

While many Irish companies felt powerless in the immediate aftermath of the COVID-19 restrictions, the Government offered a lifeline with Enterprise Ireland’s Online Retail Scheme. This unprecedented programme offered €2 million in grants to be shared among Irish companies with clear-cut and long-term eCommerce ambitions.

The Online Retail Scheme deadline has passed, and a separate Trading Online Voucher Scheme aimed at businesses with very limited eCommerce capabilities has recently stopped accepting applications because of over-subscription.

However, we expect the Government to continue investing in Irish business innovation during the next 12 months of uncertainty, and beyond. The huge response to both of the above initiatives is proof that many Irish companies are searching for a lifeline at this time, and we can dive in if and when there’s another round of funding.

We have helped dozens of clients with Enterprise Ireland grants in the past, and our Optimise Digital Healthcheck programme with the IE Domain Registry has helped deliver greater online exposure and economic success to hundreds of small companies. Irish businesses may be in uncharted territory right now, but we have the expertise to steer you to success.
