Proud partner in PulseZ – a next-generation youth media revolution

Empowering young voices to shape the European conversation

Matrix is playing a central role in PulseZ — a new online media platform that empowers young content creators, journalists, and activists to engage in democratic discourse through their own channels.

A bold new youth media initiative

Launched in 2024, PulseZ is a €2.7 million EU-funded project designed to give young people a space to produce and share fact-based, engaging content. It provides training, mentorship, and a digital platform where they can develop their skills in journalism, multimedia storytelling, and political engagement. By fostering critical thinking and amplifying diverse voices, PulseZ encourages meaningful participation in European affairs. The PulseZ project is an international collaboration of eight organisations across seven countries. This dynamic network is building a multilingual, youth-driven media ecosystem, helping young creators shape conversations that matter to their generation.

Matrix’s role in PulseZ

As a key digital partner, Matrix is at the heart of PulseZ’s brand, content hub, and communications strategy. We’re building a bold, intuitive platform where young creators can tell their stories, challenge narratives, and spark real conversations. Leading the design and development, we ensure PulseZ is accessible, engaging, and youth-friendly, with seamless multilingual functionality. Beyond tech, we’re shaping the pan-European communications strategy, driving awareness and engagement across digital channels. As part of the Editorial Board, we also help steer the platform’s content strategy, ensuring it stays fresh, dynamic, and youth-led.

A collaborative and innovative media ecosystem

PulseZ brings together eight organisations from seven countries, creating a peer-powered, multilingual media movement. With training, mentorship, and real-world publishing opportunities, young journalists are gaining the skills to debunk misinformation, drive debate, and redefine European media. AI-powered translation tools tear down language barriers, making sure every voice is heard across Europe.

A truly user-centred platform

PulseZ takes a user-first approach to content development, ensuring all materials — from Moodle courses to informational resources — are designed to be engaging, practical, and accessible for young content creators. The platform will evolve through continuous feedback from its Youth Advisory Council, focus groups and usability testing. The Moodle-based courses focus on journalism, content creation, and digital storytelling, teaching young people crucial professional skills such as fact-checking, multimedia production and ethical reporting. These courses are structured with a mix of interactive lessons, video tutorials, and real-world assignments, designed to fit the needs of digital-native learners.
