PTAqua supplies an essential product to a very niche, B2B market. The twist is that their market is truly global. Based in Ireland, they source raw materials from North America, Asia and Europe, and they sell primarily to Europe, Africa and the Middle East. What do they sell? High quality algae and larval feeds to fish farms. Our challenge was to create a website that helped them stand out while being intuitive to navigate for a wide range of site visitors from diverse cultures accessing it on a variety of devices. While the market is very niche and technical, they needed a site that was engaging and lively as well as responsive. The site also needed to reassure their market of PTAqua’s expertise and reliability.
Concept to Reality – A dynamic, responsive website with universally intuitive navigation
Using some stunning photos of sea life and marine environments, we developed a website for PTAqua that gives people multiple routes to the information they need. This enhances the UX for their diverse global market. Products are grouped into clear categories, with text and visual information to guide visitors through to the appropriate products. As the user moves through the site, the menus remain constant at the top, as do the other links to product categories we’ve placed further down the page. The site is responsive, which is as important for B2B sales as it is for retail. It is also rich in reassurance, with prominent contact details and mention of the brands the company partners with.
