The Brief

In 2013, Matrix were commissioned by Yellowstone Communications to help to develop a kiosk based touch screen interface for the Irish Famine Museum. The system is driven by a user friendly interface to present historic material on a touch-screen-based system.

The Solution

Matrix developed a robust locally hosted solution presenting the material in an intuitive way with dynamic javascript-based controls optimized for touchscreen control. The content ( including high quality scans of authentic documents from the 1840’s ) is divided into 9 main sections to mirror the layout of the actual museum.
