Matrix mobilises for COVID-19

As a company, as a team and as your online partner, we want to assure you that we are actively managing the COVID-19 situation. This is an unprecedented situation for businesses in Ireland, and we can minimise disruption if we all act in a calm, responsible and proactive manner.

Here are some updates we’d like to share with you:

  • We have devised comprehensive contingency plans to ensure a full continuity of service to our clients;
  • Our Operations Manager has proactively taken all recommended precautions to ensure the health and safety of our staff;
  • We have either postponed client meetings to a later date, or switched to web conferencing;
  • From Monday, March 16, the Matrix team will be working remotely and we will revisit this on a daily basis until further notice. All team members are equipped to work remotely and will conduct regular team meetings via web conferencing;
  • We will continue to closely monitor the situation, including updated Government recommendations.

With most people working at home in the coming weeks, regular business activity may decrease. We are trying to think ahead and anticipate possible solutions.

Four situations may arise:

  1. Remote working may increase our clients’ capacity and intent to make progress on online projects while other business activity subsides.
    Matrix response: We will work with all clients and respond to all project input. Where possible, we will use this impetus as a catalyst for any projects that can be progressed collaboratively in this period.
  2. There will be an increase in the use of online resources and infrastructure by our clients and their staff.
    Matrix response: Our support team will be on hand to help in any way, and make sure all online resources are available and operational. We are also available to advise our clients on any issues related to web conferencing, email, document collaboration and any online tools that increase productivity.
  3. Closures of schools and creche facilities may have a detrimental impact on the staff of our clients, especially in situations where remote working is not possible.
    Matrix response: We have a large core team of 26 full-time professionals across different departments. Recently, we have been recruiting an additional team of part-time staff with specific skill-sets, who can step in to support our core staff. This additional capacity also allows us to support our clients in times of need (e.g. staff shortages or short-term incapacities) via our Flexi Team Packs. If any of our clients require short-term or flexible team support, more information is available at support@matrixinternet.ie
  4. Business challenges may arise for our clients due to lack of activity, cancellations etc.
    Matrix Response: We are available for web conference calls to brainstorm and come up with ideas to help our clients find opportunities or devise innovative approaches to sales or marketing. Two minds are always better than one, and we are here to help.

2020 is our 20th year in business and we have reached that milestone by caring for our team and always being in our clients’ corner. In that respect, it’s business as usual for us. If you have any specific queries or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact any of the Matrix team — our door is always open.
