Hubspot’s job creation news comes as they’re poised to open their new European headquarters at One Dockland Central in the IFSC, which it has dubbed HubSpot. The addition of 320 employees to their workforce will see the number of people working for Hubspot in Ireland to 500.
HubSpot was founded by Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shan in June 2006 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). It now has more than 18,000 customers in 90 countries.
Hubspot’s software platform offers integrated applications including social media, search engine optimisation (SEO), blogging, website content management, Google Ads marketing automation, email, customer relationship management (CRM), and website analytics.
According to the Silicon Republic, Hubspot’s managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa Christian Kinnear said the jobs will be spread across sales, engineering and marketing.
“We have full engineering elements that we are growing here in Dublin that will be focused on building and shipping core HubSpot products.
“Our new offices at One Docklands Central are state-of-the-art and are designed to foster collaboration.”
“We opened Dublin as our first international office three years ago and it started with the lofty ambition of creating 150 roles and this announcement shows we are going above and beyond this,” Kinnear said.
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton has praised Hubspot, stating that “targeting high-growth technology companies has been a central part of our jobs plan, and I am delighted that a leading company like Hubspot has shown such confidence in Ireland.”
