OVER-SEES strengthens vocational education and training across Europe’s island regions. Matrix contributes branding, website, platform and digital communications expertise to help the project connect learners, VET providers, businesses and policymakers around a stronger model for island skills, employment and innovation
VET excellence for Europe’s island communities
European islands face distinct challenges. Young people can experience limited access to training, fewer routes into decent work and weaker links between education and local job opportunities. VET providers also need stronger ways to connect training with regional priorities, business needs and the green and digital transition.
OVER-SEES responds with a practical model of VET excellence for island territories in Portugal, Greece, Italy and Ireland. The project brings together people, VET institutions, businesses and decision-makers to build skills ecosystems that work for island communities.
Its work focuses on smart specialisation areas linked to sustainable agriculture, rural tourism, marine renewable energies and digitalisation. The goal is to help young people under 35, including those furthest from the labour market, access better training, stronger guidance and clearer pathways into employment.
Our contribution to OVER-SEES
Matrix helps OVER-SEES turn a complex European education project into a clear, accessible and connected digital experience.
In Work Package 3, communication and dissemination, Matrix leads the project’s branding, visual assets and public-facing website. This work gives OVER-SEES a strong identity and a clear online presence, helping partners communicate the project’s purpose, activities and outputs across multiple island regions and stakeholder groups.
In Work Package 4, exploitation, Matrix supports the long-term use of the project’s results. Our digital and communications work helps make outputs easier to access, share and adapt beyond the funded period, so the project can continue to support VET excellence across other island communities.
In Work Package 7, business collaboration, Matrix designs and builds the OVER-SEES Nexus. This digital platform will support collaboration between VET providers, businesses and other stakeholders, helping them share knowledge, identify skills needs and create stronger links between training and employment.
Across the project, Matrix brings together strategy, UX/UI design, branding, content, development and digital transformation expertise. Our focus is simple, make OVER-SEES easy to understand, easy to access and useful for the people and organisations it needs to reach.
