Partner Certification

This Partner Certification confirms not only Matrix’s strong command of HubSpot’s software but also our knowledge of how to effectively plan and build inbound operations, market and sell our inbound services, as well as deliver on those services to delight our clients.

To gain Partner Certification, the team at Matrix were required to learn about and take exams on topics germane to business growth like team staffing, retainer sales fundamentals, services pricing and ROI reporting for clients.

This free certification is open to all HubSpot Partners who have purchased Agency Onboarding and have at least one user who is HubSpot certified. In order to maintain one’s status as a Certified Partner, at least one agency employee is required to pass the partner certification exam once every 13 months. Partner Certification Process

In order to attain the highly coveted HubSpot Partner Certification, it’s necessary to first complete the Inbound Certification and next the HubSpot Certification. Only once these hurdles have been overcome are you primed to tackle the Partner Certification test.

Inbound Certification

HubSpot’s Inbound Certification includes several classes that span the four stages of the Inbound Methodology. From optimizing your website to landing page anatomy to honing your inbound skills, this certification grants you the skills necessary to optimise your inbound activities. The Inbound Certification is specifically designed to prepare you to better attract strangers, convert visitors, close leads and delight customers.

The certification comprises twelve classes which can be watched on demand allowing you to study at your leisure. Each class features a self-check quiz and a transcript of each video for those who prefer to read along. Matrix recommends watching the classes sequentially, beginning with the ‘Essentials of an Effective Inbound Strategy’ class.

In order to earn your official Inbound Certification badge and certificate, testees must achieve a score of 75% or greater. The 60-question exam takes the format of both multiple choice and true/false questions and must be completed within 75 minutes.

Don’t be discouraged if you don’t pass the first time round, as you’re allowed three chances to make the grade. However, after failing, 48 hours must elapse before you can resit the exam. In the unlikely event that failure strikes you thrice in a row, you’ll be locked out for 30 days, giving you plenty of time to brush up on the study materials!

Once awarded, certifications are valid for 13 months from the month they were earned. Once passed your certification badge can be promoted in many ways such as being embedded on your website, included in your email signature or added to your LinkedIn profile.

HubSpot Certification

This is the next level of certification. It is worth taking in its own right for those desirous of proving their proficiency with HubSpot’s software and highlighting their inbound results. The purpose of this test is to familiarise users with all of HubSpot’s moving parts. Students learn best practices and learn the technical expertise necessary for inbound success. Once the Certification test has been passed, users are required to demonstrate their skills in the practicum. This is completed on your portal and is an opportunity to show your ability to deliver real inbound results. It is necessary to pass both the test and practicum to become fully HubSpot certified.

Contextual Marketing Certification

As mentioned above, this certification is available exclusively to HubSpot customers who have achieved HubSpot certification and boast Professional or Enterprise level accounts. It is ideal for those who wish to create quality contextual content which will keep them at the avant-garde of inbound marketing.

Design Certification

The Design Certification is free and open to the public. It can prove particularly useful with regard to the creation of high-quality HubSpot templates that demonstrate marketing and structural best practices. The caveat with this particular certification is that it’s aimed primarily at web designers familiar with CSS and its application to HTML. Basic proficiency in writing HTML and CSS is thus required for completion.
