Supporting emotional well-being from the earliest years
GrowWell is an Erasmus+ project helping preschool educators and parents support children’s resilience, confidence and emotional well-being. Matrix contributes to the digital platform, communications and visibility work that helps social-emotional learning resources reach early education communities across Europe.
Practical support for children, educators and parents
Early childhood plays a vital role in how children understand emotions, build relationships, manage challenges and develop confidence. GrowWell gives educators and parents practical tools to support that development in preschool and at home.
The project will create a multilingual social-emotional learning toolkit with animated videos, lesson plans, worksheets, activity cards and outdoor activities. These resources will cover key themes such as naming emotions, managing big feelings, empathy, mindfulness, conflict resolution, friendship, inclusion and resilience.
GrowWell also supports educator well-being. Preschool teams will receive training in SEL, digital tools and practical classroom activities, while parents will receive guidance they can use in everyday family life.
Our contribution to GrowWell
Matrix supports GrowWell across digital strategy, platform development, communications, outreach and long-term visibility.
In Work Package 3, Matrix helps develop the Learning Portal, a central online hub for educators and parents. The portal will bring together SEL materials, training content, implementation guides and language-specific resources so users can find and apply the toolkit with confidence.
In Work Package 4, Matrix leads the communication strategy and recruitment campaign for training sessions. This work helps GrowWell reach preschool educators, parents and early education stakeholders across partner countries.
In Work Package 5, Matrix leads digital dissemination, including the Learning Portal, social media, newsletters and online campaigns. This work keeps the project visible, helps stakeholders access the resources and supports wider adoption after the funded period ends.
A stronger start for lifelong well-being
GrowWell brings early childhood education, parental involvement, mental health, digital learning and policy engagement into one practical European project.
The long-term goal is a sustainable model for social-emotional learning in early education, with open-access resources, trained educators, engaged parents and policy recommendations that support wider use.
