Proud partner of GreenShift
Advancing green digital innovation in transport
GreenShift is a European Master’s programme in artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) for green digital innovation in transport. Matrix supports the project with digital platform development, communications, visibility, accessibility and long-term participation across Europe.
Skills for cleaner, smarter transport
GreenShift addresses a clear skills gap in Europe’s transport sector. AI and HPC can help companies model complex systems, improve traffic flow, optimise fleets, support electric vehicle infrastructure and speed up the development of lower-emission mobility solutions.
The project brings universities, research centres, industry partners, technology organisations and innovation stakeholders together across Europe. Its goal is to help students, professionals, SMEs and public authorities build the practical skills needed to apply advanced digital technologies to sustainable transport challenges.
GreenShift will include a Joint European Master’s programme, micro-credentials, short courses, innovation challenges and industry-focused training.

Recognised by the European Commission
In June 2026, GreenShift was awarded the European Commission’s STEP Seal. This quality label recognises high-value project proposals that support Europe’s strategic technology priorities.
The recognition confirms GreenShift’s strong contribution to skills and innovation in AI, HPC and sustainable transport. It also reflects the project’s potential to support Europe’s green and digital transitions, strengthen technological sovereignty and prepare future professionals for high-demand roles in sustainable mobility.
For GreenShift, the STEP Seal is an important milestone. It recognises the strength of the project vision, the quality of the European partnership and the strategic value of building advanced digital skills for the transport sector.

Our contribution to GreenShift
Matrix plays a central role in GreenShift across platform development, communications, accessibility and long-term project growth.
As co-lead of Work Package 3, Programme Development and Set Up, Matrix supports the creation of the GreenShift digital learning platform. This platform will give students, faculty and partners one shared online environment for course information, registration, onboarding, learning content, teaching tools, student progress and programme activity.
The platform combines the public-facing marketing website with the systems needed to run a European learning experience. Matrix’s role includes UX, design, development, hosting, cybersecurity, platform support, accessibility and technical coordination with wider systems including Moodle, Full Fabric and AWS cloud infrastructure.
As leader of Work Package 5, Dissemination and European Impact, Matrix leads the communications and visibility work for GreenShift. This includes the communications strategy, brand identity, campaign materials, digital marketing channels, newsletters, social media content, webinars, case studies, launch campaigns and performance reporting.
Matrix also contributes to sustainability and EDI activity under Work Package 1, helping the project support inclusive participation, accessible digital experiences and clear guidance for the people creating and using GreenShift materials.

Turning European collaboration into lasting capability
GreenShift connects advanced digital skills with one of Europe’s most urgent challenges, the transition to cleaner, smarter and more resilient transport systems.
Matrix helps the project move from strategy to practical participation. The digital platform gives GreenShift a stable home for learning and recruitment, while the communications work helps the programme reach students, companies, public authorities and education partners across Europe.
The long-term ambition is a stronger European skills pipeline in AI, HPC and sustainable transport. GreenShift helps future professionals use advanced technologies to create real-world solutions for a more sustainable Europe.
