Awards 4 SELFIE
From school to the business world, digital innovation is a new normal we can really get behind.
Matrix is behind hundreds of online success stories in Irish business at all levels, so we were proud to develop a new platform for grass roots innovation, through the Digital Schools Awards European pilot programme.
A STREAMLINED SYSTEM
The brief
We created a streamlined system for the complex process of validating schools who want to take part in the programme. Once schools register, their whole validation process is carried out in steps online, through their own unique automatically generated website. It’s all about step-by-step online collaboration with validators, and when schools pass any of the criteria they get an official badge for their website and social channels. It was a technically complex system to develop, but we cracked it with User Experience (UX) design thinking, to streamline the process for users of varying abilities.
Project overview
Before development, we carried out a very detailed UX discovery phase and identified the following four typical users:
- System Coordinator;
- Country Coordinator;
- Validator;
- School.
We then created comprehensive dashboard requirements and defined user journeys on a process map, based on extensive collaboration and feedback from key stakeholders. The site is multilingual (English, Serbian, Lithuanian, Slovenian) and automatically redirects the user to their language based on their location.
