GoCar UX


GoCar is an innovative Car Sharing company in Ireland. Car Sharing is a growing trend across major cities globally and GoCar have been leading the way in Ireland since their inception in 2008. In 2015, GoCar commissioned Matrix Internet to design and build their new website, with User Experience the top priority.

GoCar have always realised that UX is central to the success of their business model. The first stage on the journey to become a GoCar customer will almost certainly be the website, potentially it is the most important part. First impressions last and if the GoCar website can engage potential clients, convey their brand values and tell their story well – conversion rates will be maximised.


During a series of brainstorming sessions, the Matrix Internet and GoCar teams formed an immediate bond based on a similar objective – excellence in UX design.

Some of the individual sessions included :

persona development and challenging
brand value analysis
anticipation of all possible journeys to becoming a GoCar customer
detailing of the life cycle and likely behaviours of customers in the years / months after signup
We believe that User Experience is never a finished article, but after this particular process we had formed beautiful wireframes and concepts to drive the website development, including :

  • Calls to Action
  • Sign up Process
  • Story telling devices
  • Positive message reinforcement
  • Sales funnel development

All of the above features were designed carefully by our designers, before being passed to our development team to code / deploy / test.
