Dundalk Credit Union

The Brief

Dundalk Credit Union is a financial cooperative providing a series of financial services across its wider community. Its core purpose is to deliver financial independence, wellbeing and opportunity for people and families and to support the development of a stronger, more sustainable community and economy in the region. Last year, thanks to their dedicated Dundalk Credit Union Community Support Fund, DCU was able to distribute over €100.000 to local community organisations. The donations benefited charities, DkIT and schools, businesses and support agencies; all of which are helping to improve and enrich the lives of its community members.
With such a great history of helping the local community, Dundalk Credit Union wanted to reflect that support on their new website. A second goal was to dispel myths and preconceptions surrounding the credit unions, by providing online content to their users that is easy to follow. They also wanted to highlight the services they provide, offer new services online, appeal the younger demographic and tell the story of Dundalk Credit Union. That was Matrix Internet’s challenge.

The Solution

Matrix Internet ran several workshops with a focus on branding, user experience, sitemap creation and wireframing. The goal was to provide a smooth navigation, reduce the number of steps to conclude each task and present Dundalk Credit Union options in an elegant yet simple design.
Throughout the process, we developed a structured hierarchy for key features and pages and crafted a custom design solution to suit their defined target market, personas, the key brand personality traits and their online tone of voice. We also came up with tailored solutions to offer Dundalk Credit Union a tool to interact with their customers and prospects in a fast and effective way. Amongst the website features, our team integrated DCU’s bespoke CRM with the website and provided them with a fully accessible and responsive portal and a CMS platform to keep the website content up to date.
This provided them with everything that they needed not only to achieve a visually appealing website but also given them a full platform to help them interact with the community, showcasing their presence, solutions and support.
